About

One clean page your team can actually use

Most small employers fall into one of two traps: they hand over a WhatsApp text message that no bank or embassy accepts as proof of income, or they buy heavy payroll software for a three-person team. A structured payslip solves both — it states the employer and employee identity, the exact pay month, itemised earnings and deductions, gross versus net, and the amount in words so figures can't be misread. This generator lays all of that out on a single bordered A4 page that prints cleanly or saves straight to PDF.

The row model is deliberately flexible because real salaries are not standard. Add a festival bonus in Diwali month, a leave-deduction line when someone took unpaid leave, or a loan EMI row that disappears after six months. Totals, net pay and the bilingual amount-in-words recompute as you type, and everything you enter stays in your browser's local storage — nothing about your payroll is transmitted anywhere.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are employers legally required to issue payslips?

Requirements vary: several labour codes and state Shops & Establishments Acts expect wage slips for covered workers, and it is standard practice for any salaried role. Even where not strictly mandated, employees need payslips constantly — for visas, loans, rentals and background checks — so issuing them monthly is the professional default.

Who is this generator designed for?

Small employers that don't run payroll software: boutiques, studios, agencies, shops, and freelancers who hire part-time help. It produces a clean one-page slip with your own earnings and deduction rows instead of forcing you through a full payroll product.

How much PF should I enter as a deduction?

EPF contribution is typically 12% of basic wages (subject to statutory limits) from the employee's side, matched by the employer. Professional tax varies by state (for example ₹200/month in Maharashtra). Enter whatever actually applies to your employment arrangement.

Can I add custom allowances or deductions?

Yes. Every row's label and amount are editable, and '+ Add custom row' lets you insert items such as performance bonus, food allowance, loan EMI or insurance premium. Remove rows you don't need; totals and net pay recalculate instantly.

Is this the same as a CTC breakup?

No. A payslip shows what was actually paid out in a specific month — gross earnings minus actual deductions equals net pay. A CTC breakup is an annual cost-to-company projection including items that never reach the bank account (employer PF, gratuity provisions). This tool makes payslips, not CTC letters.

Does the slip need a physical signature?

The layout includes an 'Authorised Signatory' line. Many organisations email computer-generated slips without signatures and that is widely accepted; if your employer or employee prefers, print and sign before sharing.

Where are my entries stored? Is anything uploaded?

Everything runs locally in your browser. Salary figures are saved only to your browser's local storage to pre-fill the form next time — there is no account, no server and no upload. Reset clears everything immediately.

How do I save the payslip as a PDF?

Click 'Print payslip' and choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination in your browser's print dialog. The printed sheet is A4-formatted with all form chrome hidden, so the PDF comes out clean on the first try.
